This weekend saw the first Primera demo day hosted at The Banks arms in Studland. i have been riding a Specialized Enduro Expert for the past 8 years and was keen to see how the Bike had evolved in this time. my bike has 100/120mm travel with rear lockout and the new model now features 115/160mm travel but without the rear lockout. i thought this would be an issue but the new pro-pedal system seems to work well and i didn't miss the inability to lock the rear. what i wasn't so keen on was the forks, while climbing they were every bouncy (maybe a few adjustments were needed here), but on the downhills, the ride was very plush. so am i going to upgrade? well in 2002, i couldn't believe i was handing over £1500 for a pedal bike! but now the same model is priced at £3000!!! i could feel the improvements but for me, its not worth spending £3000 on.
